| Insider TA Professional reads
from the legacy TC2000 ver 4.x/5.x database automatically. The
following discussion is for those who still use Insider TA Version
4 Professional (upgrade here).
TC2000 ver
3 data files are named with a ".NDX" file extension. Like
any disk file, they can reside anywhere in your computer's drive
and can be directly loaded into Insider TA Version 4 Pro and Version
5.1 Professional automatically.
Typically,
you might find all your NDX files divided into 26 sub-directories
(this is the way TC2000 exports
it's version 5.x data to version 3 files), where each sub-directory
represents a letter in the alphabet.
You can use
the File Entry Panel to store
these 26 directories...
c:\TCV3Data\A\*.NDX
c:\TCV3Data\B\*.NDX
c:\TCV3Data\C\*.NDX
: : :
c:\TCV3Data\X\*.NDX
c:\TCV3Data\Y\*.NDX
c:\TCV3Data\Z\*.NDX
Observe in
the following picture how Insider TA displays the filenames in the
File Entry Panel (e.g. RAL.NDX, ROK.NDX, RTN.NDX), and will not display
the full name of the company until after a file is loaded.
